Baptism and Song
At about 4:30 a.m. on Sabbath September 23, 2017, a team of Bible School volunteers departed Keene for Marlin TX to participate in a 7 – 10 a.m. baptism within the Hobby Unit Prison Facility, in which were several of our Bible School students awaiting baptism; students of New Discovery and A New Life Bible Schools! It was a mass baptism of about 21 ladies; ladies who sang their hearts out and who spoke testimonials of encouragement to one another. Unitedly, these two Bible Schools of Keene are in process of gaining a net increase of Christian Soldiers from this baptism (new Church members) of about eight precious souls! Also, we have the gain of a developing friendship with the Hobby Unit Chaplain, Chaplain Moore. This may be the first of many invitations to our Bible Schools to so participate in Prison Unit Worship/Baptismal services, here in the Southwestern Union Conference! The harvest of souls has thus begun a new and precious chapter; praise be to the Lord of Harvest!
